This Website complements the llangollen-railway.co.uk site by storing the archive and historical information which would make the Main Site too large to regularly update.

To Date, the Locomotive histories for Steam, Diesel and Railcars, the Rolling Stock Histories - as much as is currently available, some detailed information on buildings and structures and the full history of the rebuilding of Berwyn Viaduct have been transferred.

The “Trip up the Line” pages from John Joyce’s original site have also been transferred but are still in their original condition, new photos and some new text is required. I will post updating notices on the “Breaking News” page on the main website

If a part of the Main Site suddenly goes missing, it will probably have been transferred this site so that it is available for reference and not lost.

WEBMASTER

I’m John Rutter and I am the Webmaster for this Archive Site, as well as the Main Llangollen Railway site. (I prefer the term “Webgnome” as it matches the ammount of time I spend hunched over the PC developing and updating the two websites).

The Webmaster’s page is on the main site where you will find my details and  listings of the updates to the two sites.

If you would like to contact me please Email to: webmaster
